British produce is a fast growing trend. People are hungry for the knowledge of where their food has come from, what is in it, and they want to know the ethics behind it.
The last couple of years has seen a surge in sustainable eating. Eating seasonal tastes great, and is the more sustainable choice. Whilst it is great having access to things like avocado and fresh tomatoes in winter, it is a real luxury, and one that has an impact on the planet. Whilst it is unrealistic to think of buying only local and seasonal, I consider it positive to be conscious and mindful.
Early year could be thought of as a bit of a bleak time for British produce, but I’ve tried to list the best of it, as well as ideas of what to do with it.
