My love affair with gnocchi has been ongoing since the first time I ever tasted it as a child. That carby goodness, covered in hot and delicious sauce is what dreams are made of. If I’m being completey honest, I usually reach for the ready-made kind however, I have to say, this sage gnocchi recipe is really worth the extra effort.
Contrary to what many may believe, gnocchi dough is actually extremely easy to make, yet still gives you that sense of accomplishment when you sit down to a bowl of something completely made from scratch.
I have put the sage gnocchi with a simple sour cream based sauce with parmesan, wilted spinach and mushrooms, but of course feel free to get creative and make what you would prefer.
